The Wedding

Her name is Katie Kirkpatrick, 21 yrs old. Next to her is her fiance, Nick, 23. This picture was taken prior to their wedding January 11th, 2005. Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy. Here Nick awaits while she finishes one of the sessions...

Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine, Katie took care of every single part of the wedding planning. Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to Katie's constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception. The other couple in this picture is Nick's parents, very emotional with the wedding and of course to see their son marrying the girl he fell in love when he was an adolescent.

Katie, in a wheel chair listening to her husband and friends singing to her.

In the middle of the party, Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath. The pain does not allow her to stand for long period of time.

Katie died 5 days after her wedding. To see a fragile woman dress as bride with a beautiful smile makes you think... happiness is always there within reach, no matter how long it lasts.....lets enjoy life and don't live a complicated life. Life is too short. Work as if it was your first day. Forgive as soon as possible. Love without boundaries. Laugh without control and never stop smiling.

Please pray for those suffering from cancer. We all have close to our heart.

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning the devil says:
"Oh Crap, She's up!"
Sister
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly.
Forgive quickly.
God never said life would be easy.
He just promised it would be worth it.

I am only as strong as the chocolate I eat, the hair spray I use and the friends I have. To the cool women that have touched my life.. Here's to you! National Girlfriends Day What would most of us do without our sisters, confidants and shopping, lunching, and traveling girls? Let's celebrate each other for each other's sake!

TO MY GIRLFRIENDS!
It is good be a woman.

God Has Amazing Things in Store for You

(This is a heavy prayer)

Stars do not struggle to shine; rivers do not struggle to flow, and you will never struggle to excel in life, because you deserve the best. Hold on to your dreams and it shall be well with you... Amen.
The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hand that will send this message to others shall not labor in vain, the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall laugh forever, and remain in God's love.
Good morning, your dream will not die, your plans will not fail, your destiny will not be aborted, and the desires of your heart will be granted in Jesus' name. Say a big Amen and if you believe it!
Money will know your name and address before the end of this month. BELIEVE IT! None goes to the river early in the morning and brings dirty water. As you are up this morning, may your life be clean, calm and clear like the early morning water. May the grace of the Almighty support, sustain and supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. Amen.
Love the Lord Have a wonderful day in Jesus' name.
The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you.
You are Blessed beyond all curses in Jesus' name !
